Why did we redesign our bestseller?
The ITPC-B150 series has always been IWILL’s “workhorse” for budget Android solutions. But technology moves on. With the introduction of the new CP2 (Capacitive Panel Gen 2) series, we are transitioning from the outdated RK3288 chips to the modern RK3568 platform.
This is not simply a processor swap. It is a complete overhaul of the display construction and connectivity options.

Customer benefits
Processor: 40% higher performance and a built-in NPU for AI tasks.
Display: Eliminates the “dead zone” between the glass and the panel. No risk of condensation in humid conditions!
OS: Compatibility with modern applications and stronger cyber security.
Network: Ability to separate the external (WAN) and internal (LAN) networks for security.
Expansion: Easy addition of a 4G/LTE module for remote sites without Wi-Fi.
In-depth analysis of the key improvements
1. The display: Why “Full Bonding” is a game changer
In the older models, there was an air gap between the touch panel and the LCD display (Air Bonding). During sudden temperature changes (e.g. in a cold-storage warehouse), condensation or “fogging” could form in that gap.
The new CP2 series uses Full Bonding technology – an industrial optical adhesive fills the entire gap.
Result: Perfect visibility at an angle, zero risk of condensation and improved brightness in sunlight.
2. The processor: RK3568 is the new standard
Whilst the older RK3288 was good for its time, the new RK3568 is designed specifically for IoT (Internet of Things). It supports faster memory, newer video codecs (for 4K displays) and has a built-in 1 TOPS NPU (Neural Processing Unit), which allows the system to perform lightweight AI tasks, such as object recognition, without loading the main processor.

3. Dual LAN for Industrial Security
Factories increasingly require “Air Gapped” networks. With the new CP2 version (Dual LAN models), you can use one port for a cloud connection and the other exclusively for a local connection to the machine’s PLC controllers.
Security: This means attackers cannot reach your machines via the internet.
Is it time to upgrade?
If you are still using the older B150 models for simple tasks (such as displaying PDFs), they will continue to do the job.
However, if you are planning new deployments that require:
- Operation outdoors or in a humid environment (thanks to Full Bonding);
- Integration with modern ERP systems on Android 11;
- 4G connectivity for remote sites;
...then upgrading to the ITPC-B150-CP2 is essential.
